The text size used on the site may be overridden here.

This site scales all the text relative to the default size set in the browser with the main body of text being left well alone at 100%. This is really how things are meant to be as it should be the user's choice of what text size to use. Unfortunately many users probably aren't aware how to change the default size, and even if they are they might be deterred from doing so because so many sites scale their normal text size down from the default which results in tiny fonts.

The typical default font size in Windows browsers is 16 pixels. In Internet Explorer you control the text size with the 'View | Text Size' menu and on my system it works out that medium is 16 pixels, smaller is 13 pixels and smallest is 12 pixels. I quite like 12px but for the reason mentioned above I tend to leave it on the default setting.

Those users who browse with JavaScript active and who are prepared to accept a cookie from this site can override the browser default and choose which base font size to use. If JavaScript is active a menu will appear below.
