Supporting the site

I hope you enjoy this site and find it useful.

You will no doubt notice that in the discographies I try to provide Amazon UK links to available product. Those links help me to check the current availability of the product and are also intended to help you get more information but as you might have anticipated they are also affiliate links. If you do intend to purchase product from Amazon UK please would you consider using those links as I will then receive a small percentage commission on any orders you place. This will not only help encourage me in my efforts but it will also contribute to the modest operating costs of the site.

I do have some slightly more intrusive advertising panels for Amazon UK on some pages. These again include affiliate links but their primary role is to help me detect new product appearing on Amazon UK that I might not otherwise have noticed and so aid in my maintenance of the site. They also may highlight product you've not seen before either.

I do have banner advertising on the site but this is really there to provide a splash of colour at the top of the page and add a bit of variety. Many of the banner ads are affiliate links but that really is secondary as I've never received a penny from any of them (other than Amazon UK). Any Google advertising around is more for my own curiosity than anything else and I've not received anything for that either.

Contributions to the cost of running this site would be gratefully received. If you feel inclined to make more direct contributions I'd be delighted to accept donations via PayPal using the button on the right. Even the odd 50p or £1 here or there would be very welcome. I'm delighted to say I've received my first ever donation.

Finally if you are feeling particularly generous but would prefer something less tacky, I am sure my baby boy would appreciate a book for me to read to him, especially as it gets his Daddy off his computer for a while! He has his own wish list on Amazon UK (well OK *I* have my own wish list as he is only seven months old at the time of writing).
